There are two standard sizes in waterbed doubles:
DOUBLE LONG 2130 x 1370 x 200 [ 4'6" x 7' x 8" ] Measured internally
DOUBLE SHORT 1880 x 1370 x 200 [ 4'6 x 6'2 x 8" ] Measured internally
 
There are some variations in length down to 2100
Please note there are some old style double timber frame waterbeds that have dimensions of 1480 x 2080 x 170 . For these order through special sizing

Below are descriptions on mattress performances. Please note that this is a guide only and if you require accuracy then it is best to lay on beds in our showroom. However the information is a accumulation of nearly 20 years in the industry. When selling mattresses over the phone we refer to the below guide. We have a accuracy of around 95%.

Movement This test is conducted with filled to specifications. In our test there are no people on the bed or bedding items. Our test is to sharply push down one corner of the mattress until you can't go any further, and wait.
Times are approximate.

For baffles to be effective
A   They must be intact and not broken up. Floatation for baffles to be in place
B   They must float on top of the water just underneath the top mattress skin. Not on the bottom

SOFT		    This mattress contains no internal baffling. It is refered to as a standard or full float bladder. For one person the mattress will move around a lot and will settle down reasonably quickly For two people of near equal weight, the movement of one will disturb the other for about five to seven seconds. There are still a few who adore this type of mattress where movement is not an issue. For two people of different weights, the lighter one will sleep higher than the heavier partner.
This type of mattress will contour into different body shapes with equal support all around If movement is not an issue then this bed should be ideal. For back pain where movement is not an issue, you may want to test this one.
Those who don't mind movement and suffer from pressure points, this is probably the one Movement 55+ seconds

This range has been incorrectly and loosely termed waveless in the past		    Now we are entering into a popular range. Although this range still has some degree of movement It is a main choice for those who like to feel a little wave action, have some baffle support and still contour nicely to body curves. For singles and lighter couples wave action stops reasonably quickly with a more gentle wave action. The lighter partner in couples where there is a reasonable degree of weight difference will still sleep higher, but nowhere near the degree of a standard full float mattress Those who suffer from pressure points and require some stability usually go for this range

Those who require stability and support for their backs usually start in this range This is usually the upper range for those who require support and suffer from pressure points
